Two different starting points, and neither of them is a sales call. Brands tell us who their expert is and what that person actually knows. Journalists tell us what they are writing and when it is due. Everything after that is us doing the work.
If you are a brand
Send us three things: who your expert is, the subjects they can speak to without preparation, and how fast they can turn around a few paragraphs. That last one matters more than people expect – an expert who needs three days of internal approval cannot be placed, however good they are.
What you get back first is an honest read on whether reporters are actually asking about your subject. If they are not, we will say so rather than sell you a retainer against demand that does not exist.
If you are a journalist
Send the question you need answered and your deadline. That is the whole requirement. There is no account to create, nothing to pay, and no obligation to use whoever we send. If the source is wrong for the piece, tell us and we will stop sending.
What happens next
- Same day. We reply and tell you honestly whether we can help.
- Brands: a short call to work out who your real expert is and what they can carry.
- Journalists: a named source with background, or a straight answer that we do not have one.
- Then: we watch the feeds daily and come to you when there is a genuine match.
Questions worth asking before you start
Do I need an existing PR team?
No. Most of the brands we work with do not have one. If you already have an agency, this sits alongside them rather than replacing them.
What if my industry is boring?
Boring industries are usually easier, not harder. Reporters covering logistics, insurance, manufacturing or trades have a smaller pool of people willing to explain things clearly, so a good source stands out further.
What if my expert says something wrong?
They are quoted under their own name, so the standard is the same as any interview. We will tell you when an answer is thin, but we do not write words and put them in someone’s mouth.
